Erin’s 1st Grade Zoo School Field Trip

It is hard to believe it is almost the end of a long school year for Erin Sophia! We will all readily admit 1st grade had many ups and downs and as June 5th rapidly approaches it is a good time to reflect.

• Reading or NOT reading let me count the ways this became a struggle, challenge and triumph!
• Behavior Management – how does one manage the fire, passion and confidence of a 45 year old in a 7 year old body?   There were a few conflicts but thankfully not everyday day, week or month.  All said and done, probably five conflicts and two involving the principal. And none resulting in bodily harm, swear words or intent to harm (Whew, as I wipe my sweaty brow).
• Emotional Growth – ummm the term, “sassy” quickly comes to mind. Followed quickly by the word, stubborn!  

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!

So it is now May 2013 and once again I was a horrible blogger and slacked on all accounts.

Stopped writing

Stopped posting new pictures to blog

Stopped remembering my blog

Hell, I couldn’t even find my blogging program on my laptop anymore!

Now I am trying to revitalize my  2012 New Year Resolutions

*Creativity  with the hope of actually generating more ideas which result in creating something!

My how the boys changed from the end of the season last year!  Not only do they look different physically and these photos make that reality very clear.  They also performed differently with vast improvements all around.  Jordan was known as the "erg beast" this season and had one of the fastest times.  It is a joy to see J enjoy the camaraderie of his crew and all the great things this entails; humor, friendship, and lots of laughter.  What more could a mom ask for?  I am very thankful! Go crew ...........

Try It!

• This is the message I try to give my children! I hear my refrain, "just try it you might love it!" Just try it ... this might be your divine talent in life." Just try those green beans. They could be your fave food!"
• All I ask of them is to put their little toe in the water." They don't have to dive in headfirst ... just a try to see how it feels .....I believe this is my purpose as a parent.
